How to Service and Repair an Engine Mount for 2WD and 4WD for Front on 2009 Dodge Ram 3500?

Before servicing or repairing the engine mount on a 2WD vehicle, take off the negative battery cable and raise the vehicle. Open the mounts with bolts, then use engine support fixture tool 8534B to lift the engine up. Next, free the engine mount to insulator bolts and then take out the insulator. For a 4WD, first take off the negative battery cable and then elevate the vehicle. Take off the skid plate and the front crossmember. After that, get the engine oil filter out and prop up the engine using the engine support fixture special tool 8534B. Bring your jack level with the front axle, unscrew the (4) bolts binding the engine mounts, as well as the (3) bolts that attach the front axle to the left engine bracket and then pull the rear axle down. Drain oil from the sump and lower the front of the vehicle so that the front axle is on the ground. Take out the (6) bolts under the car, raise the front of the engine high and replace both engine mounts (4,8) last.
