How to Service and Repair an Outer Tie Rod End in an Independent Front Suspension Linkage on 2009 Dodge Ram 3500?

While handling the independent front suspension linkage, see to it that the boot doesn't twist as you attach or remove the outer tie rod end. Loose the jam nut 3 and afterwards remove the outer tie rod end nut from the ball stud. Securely insert Ball Joint Remover 9360 in the tie rod ball stud and, while pushing it, separate it from the knuckle. Unfasten the larger of the two tie rod ends from the smaller one and remove them.
