2009 Jeep Commander Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an Intake Manifold on 2009 Jeep Commander?
A: You need to do the Fuel System Pressure Release procedure first before taking out the intake manifold. Unplug the negative cable from the battery and remove the resonator assembly as well as the air inlet hose. Unplug the electrical connections for the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor (2), vapor purge hose, brake booster hose and positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose. Following step two, pull out the generator by finding it with part number 8534B for the engine support fixture and then the air conditioning compressor as well. Detach the ETC connector from the throttle body (3) and get rid of the ignition coil towers. undo the top oil dipstick tube retaining bolt, remove the EGR tube, fuel rail and throttle body assembly followed by removing the EGR tube (1) and the fuel line clip (1). Remove the bolt between the right engine mount and frame (3) and lower the engine until the engine mount is sitting in the frame mount. Finally, loosen and remove the fasteners on the intake manifold one after another and take it out.
