  A: Before putting in the axle shaft seal, clean off any extra sealant from the axle shaft seal bore. Make sure the axle shaft seal fits into the bore in the bellhousing where it is supposed to go. With Seal Installer 9928 and Handle C-4171 use, slide the axle seal into the axle seal bore and tap it firmly until you feel it seat against the transaxle case. Following that, line up the axle shaft seal with the seal bore on the case and insert it into place with Seal Installer 9934 and Handle C-4171, making sure it seated until it contacts the case. Once done, fit the axle shaft and check the transaxle fluid level, with any adjustments necessary.
