How to Install a Headlight Bulb to Maximize Longevity and Prevent Damage on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?

Remember to match the size and type of the bulb to the original part to prevent the lamp, socket or wiring from being damaged by excessive heat. Always protect the bulb glass from your touch or from any contact with oil, as it will reduce its useful life. Make sure that the headlamp bulb is lined up with the matching keyed opening in back. Push the bulb into the headlamp until the bulb base is completely into place. Just after clocking the base 30 degrees, use the tabs to lock it into the connector receptacle. Then, put the headlamp back into place on the mounting collar and again attach the battery negative cable.
