  A: Before putting the fuel injectors in the 2.4L engine, set them onto the fuel rail and apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-ring at the end of every injector. After that, place the fuel injector nozzles into the holes of the intake manifold and make sure they're properly set. Strengthen the fuel rail bolts to about 22.5 Nm or 16.5 ft. lbs. Both the connectors for electricity and the supply tube for fuel should be installed at this stage. Attach the intake manifold, then set the engine cover or throttle control shield in position when it is equipped. Once the negative battery cable has been reconnected, install the air cleaner lid and secure the inlet air temperature sensor and makeup air hose. After that, tighten the air inlet tube clamps by 3 Nm (25 in. lbs.).
