2010 Chrysler Town & Country Oil Filter Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Change an Oil Filter on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Change your engine oil when the schedule says so. You shouldn't keep engine oil on your skin for long periods, whether it is new or used. Because contaminants in used engine oil may harm your health, always wash your skin with soap and water, never use fuels, solvents or thinner to clean up. Talk to your dealer or a government agency to learn where you can dispose of your used engine oil at a collection center. Run the engine until the temperature is correct, then stop it and put the vehicle on an even surface. Take off the hood and take out the oil fill cap. Raise the vehicle securely so that it rests on safety stands. Place a drain pan below the crankcase drain, unscrew drain plug (1) from the crankcase and let the oil fall into the pan. If the drain plug threads appear damaged, change the drain plug and gaskets accordingly. Extract the oil filter (2) and use the new oil filter you prepared before. Press the drain plug into the crankcase, drive the vehicle down and fill the crankcase with the correct recommended engine oil. Fit the oil fill cap, turn the engine on and watch for leaks around the engine. Turn off the engine and look at how much oil is in the engine. When you finish draining engine oil from your vehicle, take care while you get rid of the used oil.
