How to Install the Alternator on a 2.0L/2.4L Engine on 2010 Dodge Avenger?

Before installing the generator, move the A/C compressor so it's not in the way. Turn the generator to place it where it belongs, with terminal 1 in front of line 2 for the A/C. Adjust the lower and upper mounting bolts a little, but finish by fastening them to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Next, fit the B+ terminal nut and wire tightly against the screw, make sure it's screwed in 10 Nm (88.5 in. lbs.) and insert the field circuit into the generator. After installing the idler pulley and tightening the bolt, you should put on the serpentine belt. You'll need to install the splash shield and the lower air dam next. Now, bring the chassis back to normal and link the negative wire from the battery.
