2010 Dodge Caliber Battery Cable Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain Battery Cables on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: To start battery cable service, turn the two clips that hold the battery and then take out the air cleaner fresh air duct. Remember, the cable connections for the battery of gas and diesel engine cars are reversed, so ensure you are aware of where to connect the cables before you service the battery. Separate the battery negative cable first and follow it with the positive cable. After that, loosen the bolt securing the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) cable to the battery clamp stud and also remove the nut securing the negative cable to the body ground stud. Remove the battery cable from the B+ terminal of the generator and afterward from the B+ terminal of the starter motor. With care, trace the battery cable retaining pushpins, fasteners and routing clips around the vehicle, until all cables are completely away from the car.
