2010 Dodge Grand Caravan Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Remove and Replace an Intake Manifold on 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Because the fuel system remains under pressure when the engine is off, you must let all the air out before you remove and install the lower intake manifold. Break the battery cable connecting the battery to the car, then drain the engine's cooling system. First, take out the EGR tube and upper intake manifold, then cut the fuel hose between the fuel rail and supply. After that, take out the ignition coil and its mounting bracket, turn off the heater supply hose and disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor wire. Before removing the fuel injector electrical connectors, mark each one with the number of its cylinder. Unique to this make and model, come from OEM vendors and help you push smoke out of the engine compartment. Take away the upper radiator hose and after that, lift out two bolts, a nut and a bracket. First, unbolt the support bracket, bolt and bolts for the lower intake manifold. Deal with the intake manifold gasket gently, because it is made thin and can accidently injure someone. Once done, remove the lower intake manifold, pop out the intake manifold end seal retainer bolt and take out the intake manifold gasket. After that, check and clean the intake manifold.
