When pressing the new lower control arm bushings 3 into the lower control arm 4, use the tools C-4212F (Press), 9603-1 (driver) and 9969 (receiver) and make sure the joint cup is centered so the bushing presses straight into the hole at the correct depth. You should tighten all rubber/urethane bushings when your vehicle is level, with all of its weight resting on the springs, to keep the suspension comfortable and the bushings from breaking prematurely. Apply lots of pressure-developed lubricant to the threaded parts of the tool to help it last longer and work correctly during every operation. As soon as you complete the bushing press, take the control arm out of the vise to begin putting in the lower control arm. Lastly, make sure your car is wheel aligned.
