- Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Rear Seat Cover on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?A: Reviewing all warnings and cautions comes first before servicing or repairing the rear seat cover. Remove the backseat and the headrest as well. With a two-door model, unhook the metal frame in the back to free the bolts and remove the seat back assembly. Unhook the J-straps and zip the cover apart from the seat. Hold down on the locking tab and pull out the headrest sleeves, then lift the seat cushion off the seat frame. After that, get rid of the hog rings and lift out the cover from the cushion. On four-door models, you should begin by taking apart the seat into its two parts and removing the handle bezel and its screws to detach the release handle. First take out the pivot bolts to tilt the seat cushion away from the seat back and then take off the latch covers and bezel, starting with the ones inside. Remove the J-straps, unzip the cover, remove the seat cushion from the back frame and take off the hog rings to take the cover off the cushion.
