To place the battery negative cable in the engine, put it in position and raise the vehicle with a hoist. Fasten the cable to the transmission housing with a bolt, torquing it to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.) first, then place the battery cable retaining pushpins, fasteners and routing clips to secure it in its right place before you lower the vehicle. After that, use a cable tie to fasten the cable to the right front strut tower and attach the battery negative side of the cable, before fitting the spare tire cover. To set up the back, fasten the battery negative cable to the body and secure it with a fastener, then connect it and put on the spare tire cover. Underneath the floor cross members, lead the positive cable from the battery to the bulkhead. Insert the bulkhead insulator, slide it towards the bulkhead and add the fastener. Attach the cable to the routing clips in the rear seat and rear compartment locations, adjust the carpeting, set the right B-pillar lower trim panel and fit the right front and rear door sill trim panels and right rear
Seat Cushion, so that every retainer loop can fully engage. Assemble the correct front seat, join the engine's positive cable to the rear Power Distribution Center fastener, lock the cover in place and connect both your battery cables before installing the spare tire cover. Line up the battery positive cable inside the engine compartment and connect it to routing clips based on what engine you have, then link it to the starter and bulkhead fasteners and finish by installing the right front wheelhouse splash shield. When everything is set and ready, pull the car down, open metal fasteners, place the battery cable and add the tire cover.
