  Once you have the Ignition Switch, you should always disconnect the negative Battery Cable first. Take out the bezel ignition switch ring and unfasten the center console bezel from its place on the instrument panel. Pull the ignition lock cylinder from the housing by pressing the locking tab on the switch housing and turning the key to the "ON" position. When installing, place the key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn it so it's in the turned position, letting the retaining tab on the ignition lock cylinder press down. The shaft in the ignition lock cylinder must line up with the socket in the housing and the housing switch needs to be in the "ON" position as well. Tuck the ignition lock cylinder into the space the housing creates and slide it in until the tab sticks out through the opening. Switch the power on the control knob to the Off position and remove the key. Before re-attaching the negative battery terminal, first put back the instrument panel bezel, then attach the bezel ignition ring and lastly, install the center console.
