Known to have quality and performance, this TPMS Sensor measures tire pressure and tends to alert drivers when pressure is too high or it's low which is dangerous. For every tire of the Chrysler 300, there is a corresponding TPMS Sensor available which can be bought either in set or separately relying on the types of mounting including clamp-in, screw-in, and snap-in kinds. Chrysler 300 cars come with either Indirect TPMS known as iTPMS or Direct TPMS abbreviated as dTPMS and the latest comes with real-time pressure sensing. This feature is prominently important as it enables drivers to keep their tire pressure at the optimum level hence enhancing fuel consumption and safety of the vehicle. The TPMS Sensor is noteworthy in the automotive market based on its highly developed technology and convenient functions for ensuring the safe operation of the car, for which it is necessary to have for every owner of the Chrysler 300. Depending on the model of Chrysler 300, this TPMS Sensor is versatile while improving the driving experience matches the car maker's standard for quality and innovation. Chrysler 300 TPMS Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain a TPMS Sensor on Chrysler 300?
    A:
Before servicing the Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) sensor, lift and support your vehicle, then take off the tire and wheel. Octane booster valves should not be used by re-installing a normal valve cap, so always keep and use the stem cap provided. Since a different metal core can cause corrosion, the aluminum valve stem must stay attached to the nickel plated brass core. Disconnect the tire from the wheel step by step according to the directions from the tire changer's maker. Stay away from using the Bead Breaker next to the sensor when removing the tire bead. Before you remove the tire, put the tool about 280° away from the valve and then lift up both the outer and inner beads. While you hold the valve stem back with pressure, remove the nut that holds the sensor to the wheel so it does not push backwards and damage the antenna strap. Take out the sensor from the wheel after you are done.
  • Q: How to Service and Repair a TPMS Sensor on Chrysler 300?
    A:
First, lift and support the vehicle while it is not moving, then unscrew the wheel mounting nuts and take out the tire and its mounting wheel assembly. Don't lose the valve stem cap, because it protects your tire from contamination and moisture. The valve stem needs its nickel-plated brass core back to prevent corrosion. Take care to remove the tire from the wheel gently, do not use the Bead Breaker close to the sensor and insert the mounting/dismounting tool diagonally at the valve stem of 10°. With pressure against the valve stem, remove the sensor nut to avoid harming the antenna strap and then get the sensor out from the wheel. Don't forget to change the seal and metal washer beneath the valve stem before setting up the sensor. Be sure to clean the surface just around the sensor/valve stem mounting hole, eliminating any damage. When pushing the sensor into the wheel, place your finger against the metal valve stem in the back and point the potted section of the sensor toward the wheel. Even out the sensor housing with the wheel's inside surface and then tighten the sensor nut to 6.5 Nm. Make sure to not torque the bolts too hard or the sensors may part from each other. Put the sensor valve about 210° away from the changer's head or the installation part of any needed tool so that the sensor is not harmed during tire mounting. Inflate each tire up to the recommended pressure on the Tire Inflation Pressure Label and then put the original valve cap back on. Now that the tire and wheel assembly is mounted, tighten the wheel mounting nuts to 150 Nm, lower the vehicle and drive for about 10 minutes at speeds above 15 mph so the system can clear any errors. If your sensor is not learnable, what you need is good diagnostic advice.
