This real time feedback enable the fuel injection system to deliver fuels in dependant with the power produced by the engine in absence of a smooth throttle movement. The identified Chrysler 300M models, manufactured from 1999, can be considered to apply this novel Throttle Position Sensor design which is significantly more resilient and efficient in comparison to the prior potentiometric kinds in the automotive industry. Incorporation of related accelerator pedal sensors including WOT (Wide Open Throttle) sensors improves efficiency of other related engines, hence improving performance and safety. This car model comes equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine and offers many features that enhance its performance; within the car, the TPS is vital to providing an exciting driving experience. Widely compatible with different 300M models, the drivers can also employ this high-tech feature, which is a great asset for a car's reliability. Chrysler 300M Throttle Position Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Position Sensor on Chrysler 300M?
    A:
Before servicing or repairing the Throttle Position Sensor, take off the negative Battery Cable and the air plenum. Then, remove the connector on the TPS, unscrew the TPS mounting points and take the TPS out of the car. Place the throttle shaft end of the Throttle Body into the socket in the TPS so that its two tabs hold it in place. A correctly indexed TPS will allow the plate to rotate a little clockwise to place its mounting screws over the holes in the throttle body and will be slightly pulled into position. Should rotation be hard, place the sensor on the side of the throttle shaft that is opposite from the tabs. Meter out 6.2 N.m (55 in.lbs.) of torque on all the mounting screws. Check once the TPS is installed that the throttle plate closes; if it doesn't, move the sensor to the opposite sides of the tabs and try again. After that, attach the electrical connector to the TPS, fit the air plenum back into place and tighten the clamp and link the negative battery cable to the terminal.
