You need to change the rubber seal (gasket) when installing the fuel pump module. First, put the new seal in the tank opening, then line the fuel pump module up so the arrow on its embossment points to the center, so the fuel fitting on top is directed to the left as you install it. After that, put the lock ring (5) on the module and then use the lock ring remover/installer 9340 (3) to attach it to the lock ring's outer clusters. Attach the 1/2 inch drive breaker bar 1 to the lock ring remover/installer 9340 3 and tighten the ring slowly so its seven notches click in place. When that is done, install the fuel tank, lower everything and attach the quick connect fitting on the fuel line to the fuel rail (1). Then, plug in the negative battery cable and fix the fuel fill cap.
