After placing the rack and pinion in the full right position, secure it to the vehicle and tighten nuts and bolts (4, 6) to 258 Nm (190 ft.-lbs.). After securing the fasteners, line up the rack and pinion once more. Tighten the pressure hose on the power steering lines to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.) and the return hose to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.). Before attaching the coupler, make certain the rack and pinion is centered to protect the Clock Spring. Fit the shaft coupler onto the rack and pinion, put in the new lower pinch bolt and make sure it's tightened to 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.). Wipe down the tie rod end studs and knuckle tapers and then place the tie rod ends into the Steering Knuckles, bolting on the nuts. Tighten the nuts to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).   Before taking off the rack and pinion, empty the power steering fluid and turn the Steering Wheel so it locks. Lift the car and remove the tires at the front side. After that, unscrew the fasteners on the tie rod ends and use Puller 8677 to remove them from the knuckles. Take out the rack and pinion pinch bolt and also remove the lower steering coupling. Switch the steering wheel all the way to the right and next remove the exhaust Y-pipe for 3.7L and 4.7L engines only. Cut off the power steering's connection to the rack and pinion, then get rid of the front crossmember. Afterward, take off the bolts, washers and nuts that secure the rack and pinion, tip the component forward, move it right and let it down on the driver's side to remove it.
