How to Service and Repair a Fuel Level Sensor in a Fuel Pump Module on Chrysler Cirrus?

The first stage to fixing the fuel level sensor is to remove the fuel pump module. Push the retaining tab at the bottom of the module electrical connector to disconnect the fuel pump/level sensor connector. Remove the terminals by using Special Tool C-4334 or an equivalent product. Tuck a screwdriver between the fuel pump module and the level sensor and then press the level sensor downward. Insert the level sensor wires through the connecting opening in the module and remove the level sensor from the channel. To install the sensors, push their cords down into the base of the module and then coil them inside the groove found on the level sensor. As you feed the wires in each groove, lift the grill inside the channel, until it snaps into position and the lower tab of the grill locks. Download the level sensor wires into the socket, pushing them up and then pulling them down until they become secure, making certain the signal and ground wires are set in the best place. After that, install the locking wedge onto the connector, push the connector up into the bottom of the fuel pump module and secure the fuel pump module.
