  Q: How to Service a Fuel Rail on Chrysler Cirrus?

  First, take out the negative cable from the auxiliary jumper terminal before servicing the fuel rail. Always make sure to release the fuel system pressure before servicing any related components, check the area for sparks and smoke and don't smoke during any work on fuel systems. Turn off the ignition and use the Fuel System Pressure Release procedure to release pressure, while you use shop towels to avoid any additional spillage of fuel. After that, disconnect the fuel supply tube from the rail and remove the electrical wires from the injectors. Remove the bolts securing the fuel rail to the Intake Manifold and carry the rail away, dropping its end over the injector openings on the manifold. After removing the injectors, coat the O-ring on the end of every new injector with engine oil and insert them into the intake manifold. Drive the fuel rail mounting screws to 22.5 Nm ± 3 Nm (200 ± 30 in. lbs.), attach the electrical wires to the Fuel Injectors and join the fuel supply tube to the fuel rail. After that, attach the negative cable once more to the auxiliary jumper terminal and perform a DRB scan tool ASD Fuel system test to pressurize the fuel system and check it for leaks.
