The unit including the PDC and all of the engine compartment harness can only be used together, so if the PDC or its housing becomes faulty or is damaged, they all must be replaced. To detach the PDC, open the hood and take out the negative remote battery wire from the left shock tower's remote link. After that, get the Air Inlet System out, take off each engine compartment wire harness connector and remove the fasteners which support the earthing eyelets for the engine compartment wire harnesses. After you unplug the retainers, take out all three screws keeping the PDC and engine compartment wire harness together and double-check their attachment to the engine compartment. When installing a new PDC, remove the old unit's fuses, fuse cartridges, fusible links and relays and put them into the new one. Set the PDC so that the mounting slots face the blades on the mounting bracket between the Powertrain and Transmission Control Modules and then install the three mounting screws from below. Send the engine compartment wire harness through the engine compartment, on top of the PDC, connecting each of the harness retainers to their fixed points in the vehicle body and chassis and fasten the ground eyelets securely. Connect every wire in the engine compartment and then hook up the battery's remote cable to the left strut tower terminal.
