Chrysler Cirrus Wiper Linkage Parts and Q&A

  • Q:
How to Service and Repair a Wiper Linkage on Chrysler Cirrus?
    A:
Start with the removal of the wiper arms and blades. Upon completion, remove the cowl screen and the wiper motor assembly for service and repair. To remove the linkage, disconnect the wiper arm linkage using either a ball joint or a tie rod separator to separate the right and left ball caps from the balls. Next, use a ball joint/tie rod separator to detach the ball cap from the ball to unlink the drive link from the motor crank. To install, work backwards through the removal operations. Position the link ball cap over the ball so that its shoulder fits against the ball, then press fit it into place to lock it in position. Reinstall the motor output crank nut and tighten to 25 to 30 Nm (19 to 23 ft. lbs.).
