How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lid Latch on Chrysler Cirrus?

To maintenance and repair the trunk/liftgate latch, remove the decklid first. Loosen the clips connecting the latch cover to the decklid and also disconnect the wires from the decklid latch. Take out the bolts fixing the latch to the decklid and then remove the latch. When installing, fit the decklid latch onto the decklid and connect it using the bolts. Connect the wire connectors to the latch of the decklid and put the latch cover clips back on before you close the decklid.
