Take the inside rear view mirror, along with the cowl cover, off first. Then, as required, remove the drip rail
Weather Strips to get at the screws holding the windshield side moldings to the A-pillars. Take out the screws from the sides and then use pliers to gently pull the molding from the bottom of the A-pillars outward. Cut the urethane bonding carefully with a sharp cold knife or pneumatic cutter and afterward, separate the windshield from the vehicle. Before you seal anything, use the opening of the left front door glass to prevent the passenger compartment from filling with air which might cause water to leak inside if a door is slammed before the urethane dries. Curing the urethane takes at least 24 hours. The urethane bonding should match the windshield's shape and feel smooth, while the support spacers have to be set on the weld studs or repair screws firmly at the bottom of the opening. Set up the new windshield in place and assure it is centered against the support spacers and lies evenly along the pinch weld fence. To help, mark the glass on both the top and bottom at the spacers. After removing the windshield, rest it upside down on two padded wood blocks that are 75 cm apart. Cover the area around the windshield with molding or trim after first cleaning the inside of the windshield with a glass cleaner. Apply Glass Prep adhesion promoter to the outline and then add Glass Primer at the perimeter, letting each dry for three minutes. Take off as much original urethane as you can without affecting the paint under the windshield, then put on pinch weld primer and leave it to dry. For low viscosity urethane adhesive, be sure to fit the compression spacers on the fence. Drop a bead of urethane that's 10 mm wide on the center of the windshield fence and then join the windshield to the opening, checking the position by aligning the reference marks with the spacers. Carefully bring the windshield down all the way, making sure the molding around it lies evenly on the roof and side pillars. Gently wipe away any urethane excess on the outside of the car, then hold the molding in place with masking tape so it does not move until the urethane cures. Last, install the side moldings, drip rail weather strips, cowl, wipers and mirror. Once the urethane has dried, remove the tape and check the repair by pouring water on it.
