First, take out the wiper arms and blades from the vehicle, then remove the cowl screen and the wiper motor assembly. To remove linkage, use a ball joint/tie rod separator to pull apart the ball caps from the wiper arm each side at the ball point. After that, remove the drive link from the motor crank using a ball joint/tie rod separator to detach the ball cap from the ball once more. To install the link ball, do everything backwards, making sure the ball end is pressed against the cap at the shoulder to ensure it fits snugly. Should the motor output crank nut come loose, tighten it firmly to 25 to 30 Nm (19 to 23 ft. lbs.) again.
