First, disconnect and take out the wiper motor assembly to change it. Remove the drive linkage from the motor output crank by using a
Ball Joint/tie rod separator to separate the ball cap from the ball while the motor is still on the bench. Following this, remove the retightening nut from the motor's output crank and lift off the crank from the output shaft. After that, pat from the motor mounting nuts and remove the motor from the mounting holes. For assembly, run through the removal process in reverse and once the motor is in place, tighten the screws to 10 to 12 Nm (89 to 106 in. lbs.) torque and put the seal on the motor connector properly. You should use between 25 and 30 Nm or 19 and 23 ft. lbs. of torque on the motor mounting nuts at the end.
