Chrysler Concorde Parking Brake Cable is the component that makes up the parking brake system in Chrysler Concorde cars to guarantee that the car does not move specially on a slope. This beneficial Parking Brake Cable links the parking brake to the rest of the braking system to stop any movement that may occur unintentionally and add to the vehicle's performance. Chrysler Concorde Parking Brake Cable is recognized due to its sturdiness, effectiveness, and compatibility regarding a number of Concorde models ranging from the mid-1993 to the mid-2004. Maintenance is highly recommended for this Parking Brake Cable because when the cable gets worn out or stretched, the parking brake will not engage properly which is unsafe. The common signs that signify a faulty Parking Brake Cable are; it becomes hard to engage the parking brake as well as the illumination of the parking brake warning light to alert the driver. The Chrysler Concorde is contended for its fine design and rather comfortable ride owing to the Chrysler LH platform, which makes the quality of the Parking Brake Cable, for instance, even more commendable. This vehicle, Chrysler Concorde Parking Brake Cable has some features like stiffer body shell, and side impact protection integrated into its system. Consequently, the compatibility with trims such as the LX, LXi, and Limited clearly exhibits the significance of this feature in Chryslers and distinguish it from other vehicles in the automotive sector.

Chrysler Concorde Parking Brake Cable Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Intermediate Parking Brake Cable on Chrysler Concorde?
    A:
Before handling the intermediate parking brake cable, the vehicle must be raised on jackstands or with a frame contact type hoist. The park brake cables need to be cured when you release the tension on the adjuster nut near the front of the car. Loosen and remove the aspect from the wrist by taking out the wrist's spring and exposing the threaded shaft that holds the gravity switch. Take off the connector from the pivot point of the intermediate cable near the rear park brake and use a 1/2 inch box wrench to take out the old intermediate cable from the bracket on the tensioner. Open the routing clip for the intermediate cable, found above the left rear clip on the rear suspension crossmember and disconnect the intermediate park brake cable. While installing, route the intermediate park brake cable along the back of the car, between the rear suspension crossmember and the frame rail, just below the rear park brake cable and the brake tubes. Secure the intermediate cable into its position on the tensioner bracket and carefully tuck the retainer clip back into place at the left side of the crossmember around the intermediate cable. Connect the intermediate cable to the proper connector at the back of the car, put it through the hole in the body torque box and secure it with the fitting bolt. After that, connect the center cable to the front connector, move the parking brake and drive the vehicle down.
