You should clean the differential cover well before you install it. After that, add a line of orange Mopar(TM) Axle RTV Sealant or the related equivalent to the cover. The cover should be installed in less than 3 to 5 minutes or it needs to be cleaned and additional RTV applied to make sure it stays attached. After applying the sealant, put the cover on and tighten the bolts across from one another until you reach 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs. of torque). After fitting the cover, add lubricant through the vent hole on the differential in volume only, not allowing the lubricant to reach the bottom of the plug. Once everything is set, put in the fill hole plug. In the end, attach the watts link bell crank bolt and tighten it to 217 Nm (160 ft. lbs.), using a new bolt with a Loctite(R) patch; if you can't use a new bolt, remove all old threads and cover them with Loctite(R) 242.
