The idle air control motor is mounted on the far end of the intake manifold plenum, attached to the
Throttle Body. First, remove the electrical connection from the idle air control motor, next taking out the screws that hold the motor in place and making sure the O-ring is removed as you remove the motor from the throttle body. A new O-ring is provided with the installation of the new idle air control motor. For a pintle longer than 1 inch (25 mm), use the DRB IAC Motor Open/Close Test with the battery attached to move the pintle. Place the motor into the housing, fasten the mounting screws and tighten them to 3 Nm (25 in. lbs.). After that, reconnect the electrical connector to the motor.
