Lift the valve springs and the retainer onto the spring seat, compress the valve spring with a spring compressor and release the compressor locks. Rank the height between the spring seat's top and the spring retainer's bottom; if it is higher than 38.75 mm (1.5256 inch), put in a 0.762 mm (0.030 inch) spacer beneath the valve spring seat to reduce the height.
