Release the overhead console by pulling the sides straight down together at an even pace which will disconnect the last two retaining clips from the mounting bracket. Deactivate the engine and lower the overhead console as needed to touch the wire harness connectors; if you have these, disconnect the courtesy lamps, Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamp, infrared temperature sensor and power sliding door/liftgate switch electrical connectors as well. Take down the overhead console and undo the two screws holding the power sliding door/liftgate switch together. Afterward, separate the switch from the overhead console assembly.
