Prior to removing the headlamp switch for Dodge, cut the battery negative cable off and put it aside. After that, slide a trim stick or the equivalent into the edge facing outwards and pry to remove the trim plate from the dashboard. After that, undo the electrical connector and pinch the tabs on the side of the switch to pull it free from the trim.
