How to Install a Seat Belt and Retractor in the First Row on Chrysler Town & Country?

To put in the first row seat belt and retractor, tighten the bolt to 39 Nm (29ft.lbs.) and then fit both the quarter panel and its screws and the quarter trim bolster. Connect the speaker after installing it; the left side goes onto the D-pillar trim cover and the right side is found behind the quarter trim panel, located after removing the D-pillar trim. Then, add the D-pillar trim cover, bolt in the second seat belt lower anchor, tighten it to 39 Nm (29 ft.lbs.) and finally secure the second seat belt upper turning loop anchor, also setting the torque to 39 Nm (29 ft.lbs.). Hang the upper liftgate trim and install the sill plate, then position and torque to 39 Nm (29 ft.lbs.) the first row seat belt upper turning loop anchor bolt, then do the same with the first row seat belt lower anchor bolt. Once you get to this section, set up the first and second row seats last.

How to Remove and Replace the Third Row Outboard Seat Belt on Chrysler Town & Country?

Move the center of the third row seat forward and fold its outboard section down to take out and reinstall its seat belt. Release the nut fastening the lower anchor to the inner panel and afterwards take off the quarter trim bolster stationed on the quarter trim panel. After that, take out the quarter trim panel from the quarter inner panel. Gently pull the cover over the seat belt turning loop down from the headliner and unscrew the bracket. Steadily pull the tab on the loop bracket away from the inner roof rail and next unclip the seat belt web guide clips from the quarter inner panel. Pop out the screw that fastens the retractor lower bracket to the quarter inner panel, lift the retractor to unhook its tab from the keyed slot on the quarter panel and remove the seat belt and retractor in one piece from the vehicle. In all cases, make sure each belt, buckle, mounting fastener, retractor, tether strap and anchor is operating well and not damaged, replacing any bad parts with those listed in the Mopar catalog.
