Before installing the ORC, shut off the SRS to make sure no air bag is deployed by mistake, then disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable and allow two minutes for the capacitor to discharge. Fix the ORC over the bracket on the transmission tunnel, so the arrow points forward and the locating pins are correctly fitted. Attach the ORC using three screws, make sure the tightness is 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.). Be sure to open the wire harness connectors' lever arms before inserting them, to prevent any damage. Service ORC modules come out-of-the-box as "Locked Out," so when you fit one, a B-2722 code shows up; use a diagnostic ScanTool to enable the ORC module, perform procedure 06 in the technical manual and clear the code. Move the body harness connector together with the instrument panel connector into their proper places in the ORC, making sure the latches are securely fastened. Screw the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) dynamics sensor onto the side of the ORC mounting bracket. Never attach the negative battery cable back until the whole SRS verification test after SRS servicing is done.
