How to Service and Repair an Air Bag Control Module for Side Impact Airbags on Chrysler Voyager?

Start the Siacm service by first detecting the problem using the service/diagnostic handbook. The best way to isolate the battery is to disconnect and remove the negative cable terminal first. Now, take out the lower B-pillar trim from the side you're working on. After that, unscrew the three Siacm retaining screws and carefully remove the module from underneath the vehicle, then take the connector off the Siacm. Be sure the installing area is clean and has no deformities or damage before you install the Siacm plug. Fit the module into the B-pillar slot and tighten all three of the retaining screws to the range of 5.7 - 7.9 Nm (50 - 70 lbs.). Making sure to place the right screws matters a lot when you install something. Just before the final step, add the lower B-pillar trim to the damaged side and wait to connect the battery negative cable until the air bag system is checked and cleared.
