First, push the key cylinder link into place and then put the latch back in on the vehicle. Insert the screws to hold the latch onto the liftgate and tighten them to 11 N.m (95 in.lbs.). Put the wire connector back on the liftgate latch, perform a check and fix any issues with how the liftgate fits and works and only then reinstall the trim panel.
