Make sure the fuel pressure is off before taking out the intake manifold and work in a safe, well-ventilated spot, well cleared of anything that might ignite. First, take off the engine cover. After that, remove the air cleaner housing and detach the negative end of the
Battery Cable. First remove the fuel line from the rail, then the electrical connections from the fuel injectors. Simply take out the bolts that secure the
Fuel Rail when you are ready to remove it. After that, detach the oil temperature sensor and the power connectors from the variable valve timing solenoid and the intake
Camshaft Position Sensor, then move the harness out of the way. Take out the throttle body support bracket and break the connection to the electronic throttle control electrical wiring. Pull the wiring harness retainer out of the intake manifold and unplug the
MAP Sensor wires and the vacuum lines there. After that, take out the intake manifold retaining bolts and pull away the intake manifold.
