Slot the multifunction switch into position next to the integral side mounting bracket, so you can reconnect the jumper wire harness plug to the switch connector receptacle. Put the slide tab on the back of the switch at the bottom of the housing into the vertical channel in the Clock Spring mounting bracket and push the switch into position so it remains securely in place. Fit the secure screw into the mounting tab of the right multifunction switch and connect it firmly inside the mounting bracket on the Clock Spring. Put the upper and lower shrouds back onto the steering column and connect the battery's negative cable.

Service the windshield washer switch by first separating the battery ground wire. Following that, take both the upper and lower shrouds off the steering column. Pull the switch away from the Clock Spring to loosen the slide tab at the bottom of the switch housing from the slot where it is secure inside the mounting bracket. Remove the jumper wire harness connector from the connector receptacle on the inboard side of the right multi-function switch and at the end, take out the switch from the Clock Spring.
