If needed, get rid of the trim covering the inner side of the right or left rear corner pillar. Apply hand force inside the vehicle to push both latch tabs inward and draw the socket plate straight from your left or right inner rear pillar. Work the socket plate away from the rear inner pillar so that you can reach inside and take out the back up lamp bulb. When installing, place the back up bulb into the tail lamp socket, line the socket plate with the inner rear pillar hole and push in evenly until the latch tabs are secured. If you are able, attach the trim to the inside of the rear corner pillar on the side you removed it from and then link the negative battery cable to the same place you removed it.

After that, take out the nuts that hold the tail lamp to the lower trunk and quarter panel and remove the lamp from the vehicle. Take apart the tail lamp connection at the body wire harness. To install, attach the wire for the tail lamp to the body harness, set the lamp on the vehicle and install the bolts through the bolt holes to fix it to the edges of the trunk and rear panel. Replace the trunk lining around the center trunk area and attach it tightly on the back end of the trunk panel with the provided fasteners. Now, make sure the lamp works correctly.
