In order to service and repair the power seat motor, start with installing the new fore/aft motor bracket and tighten the bolts to 26 +/- 2 Nm (19 +/- 1.5 ft lbf). Second, mount the bracket with fore/aft motor and short flex shaft, third attach the new short flex shaft to the gear box. Then install the new long flex shaft into the gear box and slip on the new long flex shaft cover. Mount the fore/aft motor in the bracket; connect the long flex shaft to the fore/aft motor and make sure the motor fits into the bracket correctly. Tie the connections using tie straps so that the tie strap goes under the connector and trim the excess.
