How to Install a Thermostat for Engine Coolant on Dodge Challenger?

Make sure the spring side of the bleed valve is facing downward and that it fits inside the knurled groove for thermostat spring on the timing chain cover. Place the thermostat housing over the right spot on the timing chain cover, ensuring you tighten it evenly and center the thermostat in its proper place to keep all of these problems from happening. Install the housing bolts and give them a tightening force of 13 Nm (112 in. lbs.). After that, connect the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing, fill the coolant system, hook the negative battery cable back and warm the engine by running it all the while checking for leaks.
