Start by lifting and supporting the vehicle and then remove the wheel holding bolts and the whole wheel and tire assembly. Before you remove and install the front brake rotor/disc on an SRT8, raise and support the vehicle first. Unscrew the three wheel mounting nuts and remove the tire and wheel. Always use a trim stick or an appropriate soft tool to guide the pistons back into the caliper bores to keep from harming the rotor, caliper, pistons or dust boots. Insert the trim stick at the place where the brake pad connects with the rotor, then push towards the rotor until you can feel both brake pistons are completely bottomed in each bore. You may also have to repeat this for the other brake caliper and brake pads if they're worn or damaged too. Afterward, remove both bolts that secure the caliper and take apart the caliper unit with pads from the knuckle and brake rotor. Hold the assembly off to the side with wire or a bungee cord, as not to stretch the brake hose too much. After that, remove any clips holding the brake rotor to the wheel studs and take the rotor from the hub and bearing.

Insert the trim stick at the place where the brake pad connects with the rotor, then push towards the rotor until you can feel both brake pistons are completely bottomed in each bore. You may also have to repeat this for the other Brake Caliper and Brake Pads if they're worn or damaged too. Afterward, remove both bolts that secure the caliper and take apart the caliper unit with pads from the knuckle and brake rotor. Hold the assembly off to the side with wire or a bungee cord, as not to stretch the brake hose too much. After that, remove any clips holding the brake rotor to the wheel studs and take the rotor from the hub and bearing.
