The electronic EGR valve and solenoid assembly has been mounted on the rear of the left-hand cylinder head. You should start by removing the EVAP purge solenoid by pushing it out of the tongue-type bracket. A tube links the EGR valve with the intake manifold; take out the two mounting bolts, then pull the tube from the solenoid and guide the other end out of the intake manifold. After that, take out the gasket between the EGR valve solenoid and the tube flange. Unplug the solenoid from the wiring and remove the two bolts holding it in place to grab the solenoid. After that, get rid of and throw away the gasket found directly under the EGR solenoid.
