To take out the glove box, disconnect both ends of the air bag system's ground wire from the battery and wait for two minutes. First, unattach the cluster bezel from the instrument panel, then take out the lower bezel. Then, unscrew the screw holding the inboard end of the glove box module to the instrument panel behind the lower bezel and remove the passenger side end cap. Take out the screw securing the right end of the glove box module to the instrument panel and then remove the four screws holding down the bottom of the glove box to the panel. Unclip the glove box and remove the latch striker from the top part of the glove box opening reinforcement. Remove the two remaining screws connecting the glove box module's top to the upper reinforcement on the glove box. Should the cable have a glove box lamp, carefully remove the module from the instrument panel, separate the wire harness connector from the glove box lamp and switch and disconnect the fuse box from the instrument panel. Position the glove box module against the instrument panel, reconnect the wiring between the instrument panel and glove box lamps and switches, when applicable. Put the glove box module so the top is flush with the upper reinforcement, then install and tighten the two outboard screws to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Align the striker onto the glove box sidebracket, close and latch the glove box, then fasten the four screws at the bottom of the glove box module to the instrument panel at 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Fasten the glove box module's outboard end to the rightmost section of the instrument panel (behind the passenger side end cap) with a screw tightened at 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) and after that install the passenger side end cap. Turn the screw on the inner side of the glove box module to 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) as it is secured to the instrument panel behind the lower bezel. Lastly, check the way the glove box hinges operate and check their alignment, reinstall the lower and cluster bezels on the instrument panel and connect the battery negative cable.
