How to Service and Repair a Rear Sway Bar Kit on Dodge Dakota?

You should raise and support the vehicle before working on the rear sway bar kit. Start by coming out the nuts and bolts of the middle links at the sway bar kit, then remove the sway bar kit retainer bolts and retainers. Get rid of the sway bar kit and put in new bushings for any that are loose or broken. Then, take the upper mounting nuts and bolts from each link and remove the links. Center and hold the sway bar kit with equal distance on each side before putting in the sway bar kit retainers and tightening the bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Add the link to both the frame brackets and the sway bar kit and then put in the mounting nuts and bolts. After taking away the support, set the vehicle back down and tighten the sway bar link nuts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
