How to Service and Repair a Sway Bar Kit on 2000 Dodge Dakota?

Before servicing the sway bar kit, lift and hold up the vehicle. Remove the upper link nut, retainer, and grommet from every link and afterwards take out the lower link nut from the lower suspension arm on each side. Following that, take the necessary bolts out, let go of the retainers, and remove the sway bar kit and the bushings from the car. Start by placing the bushings on the sway bar kit, position the bar around the frame, attach with the retainers and bolts tightening to 60 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) as you check if the bar is centered and evenly spaced on each side of the frame. Join the link lower retainer and grommet with the links, then secure both links to the sway bar kit and lower suspension arm, holding the nut tight at 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.), with both link end caps confronting you straight forward. After that, put the upper link grommet, retainer, and nut in place, fastening all of them tightly at 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.), remove the support and lower your vehicle.
