How to Service the A/C Switch for Front Heater Control on Dodge Durango?

Before working on the front A/C heater control, disconnect the negative battery cable for at least two minutes to disable the air bag system and keep the capacitor from deploying the air bag accidentally. You need to remove the center bezel from the instrument panel and take the wire harness connector(s) off from the A/C-heater control. Make sure the center bezel is on the workbench. After that, remove the four screws holding the A/C-heater control to the dashboard center and take out the A/C-heater control. Place the A/C-heater control in the center of the instrument panel, fasten it with the correct screws and tighten them to no more than 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.). Connect the wires to the A/C-heater control again and fit the instrument panel center bezel. Now, link the negative battery cable back to the main post.

How to Install and Calibrate the Rear A/C Switch for Temperature Control on Dodge Durango?

Installation of rear A/C-heater control To install the rear A/C-heater control push the control towards the center of the floor console then anchor the connector of the wire harness at the back of the control. Lay the two locator tabs on the bottom of the control in the slots in the bottom edge of the floor console opening. Turn the control with the two snap clips on the top toward the receptacles in the top edge of the floor console opening; and then press the top edge of the control forward until the snap clips are fully seated. Connect the negative battery cable again and calibrate the Rear Temperature Selector potentiometer calibration values with scan tool. Check that the vehicle has passed the Actuator Calibration of the front A/C-heater control and rectify the errors present. Turn Rear Temperature Selector knob clockwise into Cold Position and leave it at that position for a duration of 5 seconds, repeat the procedure, by turning knob clockwise to Hot Position and leaving there another 5 seconds. The process of calibration is done.
