First, open the hood, then use one hand to support the needed side and remove the cowl grille. Add a mark at every place where a bolt or hinge will be attached with a grease pencil so you can tell easily while assembling. After that, remove any nuts that hold the hinge to the hood and any bolts attaching the hinge to the fender and take off the hinge from the vehicle. You may need to paint the hinge before fitting it, then set it on the car and adjust it to match the marks you made before. Attach the hinge to the inner fender with bolts and tighten them to 28.2 N.m (250 in.lbs.), then link the hinge to the hood using nuts and tighten them to 22.6 N.m (200 in.lbs) Put back the cowl grille, then remove the support and check that the hood opens with a 5 mm (0.2 in.) space from the front fenders.
