The factory installed screw in the throttle body should not be changed because all the PCM controls idle speed. Before removing the throttle body, separate the duct at the throttle body and remove the electrical connectors at the
MAP Sensor, IAC motor and TPS. Also, pull out the vacuum line and every other cable running to the throttle lever, using the instructions for the Accelerator Pedal and
Throttle Cable. Following these steps, unbolt all four throttle body mounts and take out the throttle body from the
Intake Manifold, discarding the old gasket between them. First, clean both mating surfaces; then, place a new throttle body-to-intake manifold gasket between them and bolt the throttle body onto the manifold. Attach the seat by tightening the four mounting bolts to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.) torque. After that, attach the control cables, vacuum line, electrical connections and
Air Duct to the throttle body.
