How to Service and Repair a Fuel Filler Neck on Dodge Grand Caravan?

Service and repair of the fuel filler neck should be done after first disconnecting the negative battery cable. After that, take out the 3 screws on the filler door and then lift the vehicle and prop it up. Take out the left rear tire, then the splash shield and finally the metal shield. With an RG model, remove the canister from the filler tube and pull off the vent at the head of the tube. Make sure to get rid of the ground strap and unfasten the filler tube at the tank.

Putting in the fuel fill tube (3), gasket (2) and housing (1) is the first part of installing the fuel filler neck. After that, put the hose clamp (1) on securely and tighten it. On first, join the vent tube hose (1) before loosely clamping the end of the fuel fill tube bracket nut (1) to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.). Following this, fit and attach the left rear wheel splash shield. Then, secure the negative battery cable and make sure the nut is tight to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).
